Rich Rodriguez Loses Patience After WVU’s 609-Yard Nightmare, and Fans Want Answers

West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez grew testy with reporters following a 41-24 home defeat to Oklahoma State, snapping at media members who questioned his squad after a defensive collapse that allowed 609 total yards. The setback ruined a chance at a four-win start and sparked immediate frustration from a fanbase seeking answers.

Oklahoma State capitalized on porous coverage as quarterback Drew Mestemaker threw for 389 yards and three scores, while Caleb Hawkins rushed for 180 yards and Wyatt Young added 192 receiving yards. Despite holding an advantage late in the third frame, the Mountaineers surrendered twenty unanswered points to the visitors.
