Rookie Raven Johnson provided a bright spot for the Indiana Fever during their opening playoff game against the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday. Despite a lopsided 102-85 defeat, Johnson contributed fourteen points and two steals off the bench in twenty-two minutes of action while shooting efficiently from the field.
Her postseason performance earned praise from teammate Caitlin Clark following the contest.
Indiana struggled defensively as the reigning champions shot fifty-nine percent overall, highlighted by A'ja Wilson matching a playoff career high with thirty-eight points and sixteen rebounds. Meanwhile, the Fever received fifteen points and ten assists from Clark, eighteen points and eight rebounds from Aliyah Boston, and twelve points from Kelsey Mitchell.
The series now shifts as Indiana looks to slow down Las Vegas's powerful offense.
