Ranji Trophy 2026/27: Mumbai faces Himachal Pradesh challenge on unfamiliar territory

Mumbai aims to build on its dominant opening win against Chandigarh as it travels to face Himachal Pradesh. The visitors will navigate this match without Ayush Mhatre due to a hamstring injury and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is departing for international duty.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Suryansh Shedge have been added to the roster to bolster the lineup, while Tushar Deshpande continues to spearhead the bowling unit.

Himachal Pradesh returns to its own facility for the first time in a quarter-century, though the squad lacks recent experience at this specific location. Captain Pukhraj Mann, Nehal Wadhera, and Akash Vasisth will lead the hosts' efforts to contain a strong Mumbai side.

The pitch is anticipated to favor seam movement during the morning sessions before shifting to a more batting-friendly surface as the day progresses.
