The Los Angeles Rams secured a hard-fought 24–20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but the victory came with a pair of minor setbacks on the injury front. Wide receiver Konata Mumpfield left the game with a rotator cuff contusion, while cornerback Emmanuel Forbes dealt with a knee contusion.
Neither injury appears serious, as head coach Sean McVay suggested both players could avoid extended absences, though their availability will be closely watched ahead of the Rams’ Week 5 clash with the Buffalo Bills. Mumpfield logged 23 offensive snaps and caught one pass, while Forbes stepped into a larger defensive role with 21 snaps and a tackle, filling in for the still-injured Jaylen Watson, who remains week-to-week with a shoulder issue.
On the brighter side, the Rams’ defensive line could soon regain key pieces. Myles Garrett, currently on injured reserve with a knee injury, is eligible to return after the Bills game, potentially rejoining Aaron Donald, who missed Sunday’s contest due to back soreness but is trending toward a Week 5 return.
The tight end unit also took a hit with Terrance Ferguson’s season-ending medial ankle sprain, forcing Colby Parkinson and rookie Max Klare into increased action. Meanwhile, Watson’s status remains uncertain, though McVay expressed cautious optimism about his possible return against Buffalo if practice goes well.
