The Pittsburgh Pirates have secured local outfielder Kyler Fedko to a two-year minor league agreement following his departure from the Minnesota Twins organization. Fedko is currently recovering from knee surgeries repairing a torn anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament, though team officials project a mid-winter return to full health and a potential on-field comeback later in the year.
The twenty-seven-year-old product of Gibsonia previously reached the major leagues for a brief stint with Minnesota earlier in the year after posting strong offensive numbers in Triple-A, including an impressive .907 on-base plus slugging percentage and seventeen home runs during his campaign with St. Paul.
Originally selected by the Twins in the twelfth round of the 2021 amateur draft after playing collegiately for Connecticut, he now brings his power bat and local ties to his new organization.
