Despite securing a 26-19 victory over the New York Jets and extending their winning streak to three games, the New England Patriots suffered a wave of injuries affecting multiple starters. Wide receiver Romeo Doubs sustained a shoulder injury on his 42-yard touchdown catch and has since been placed on injured reserve, sidelining him for a minimum of four games.
Offensive line depth took severe hits during the contest as well, with right tackle Morgan Moses, left guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, and replacement guard Ben Brown all exiting due to various physical ailments. Edge defender Dre’Mont Jones also briefly left the field with a knee concern after already managing a shoulder issue.
Head coach Mike Vrabel and medical personnel were forced to tend to the mounting physical toll on the roster as the team attempts to maintain its momentum in the AFC playoff race.
