Patriots downgrade rookie cornerback to out ahead of Bills matchup

The New England Patriots have ruled out rookie defensive back Channing Canada for their upcoming AFC East clash against the Buffalo Bills due to a lingering hamstring problem. The undrafted first-year player out of TCU had been listed as questionable following limited practice sessions, creating a late roster change ahead of kickoff.

This personnel loss adds to defensive depth issues for the squad, which already lacks injured starters Christian Gonzalez and Christian Barmore. To help fill the gaps, management elevated Kindle Vildor and Mike Brown from the practice squad before the opening whistle at Highmark Stadium.
