Long before capturing consecutive Stanley Cup titles with the Florida Panthers, general manager Bill Zito served as a bat boy for the Milwaukee Brewers during their memorable 1982 World Series run. During his teenage years in Wisconsin, Zito worked closely with then-franchise executive Harry Dalton, who regularly invited the young high schooler into his office to observe scouting operations and administrative duties.
After eventually playing collegiate hockey at Yale, earning a law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and working as an agent, Zito transitioned into executive roles with the Blue Jackets before taking charge in Florida.
