Veteran Pakistan women's national cricket team all-rounder Kainat Imtiaz has officially concluded her thirteen-year international career following the Asian Games. Transitioning immediately to a new phase, she has taken up duties as a match referee, following in the footsteps of her mother Saleema Imtiaz.
Saleema previously achieved a historic milestone as Pakistan's inaugural female umpire on the International Cricket Council's Development Panel in 2024, boasting experience across numerous women's one-day and T20 internationals.
Building upon her family's officiating legacy, the younger Imtiaz recently oversaw fixtures during the Pakistan Cricket Board National Women's Under-19 T20 tournament. The competition took place in Karachi across the months of August and September.
Meanwhile, the broader cricket circuit also saw commentary from Ahmed Shehzad regarding performances by Hasan Nawaz and Saim Ayub.
