The Pakistan Cricket Board has shifted two President’s Trophy Grade 1 fixtures from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to the province’s governor’s rule, forcing organizers to relocate matches from Peshawar and Abbottabad. The sixth round, originally scheduled for Imran Khan Stadium in Peshawar and Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, will now take place at Rana Naveed Academy in Sheikhupura and Lahore Cricket Academy Ground in Lahore.
The changes come as the tournament’s final round has also been delayed by a day, with the venue for the championship game yet to be confirmed. Despite the disruptions, Islamabad and Rawalpindi will proceed with their fixtures as planned, including a league decider at the National Cricket Ground on October 19.
State Bank of Pakistan leads the eight-team standings with 84 points, while Ghani sit second with 70, as the PCB navigates logistical hurdles amid political instability in the region.
