Padres streak into October playing their best ball. They’re even ready for the mighty Brewers

After overcoming a sluggish beginning to the campaign and sitting below the break-even mark in late July, San Diego dominated the final stretch with a twenty-three surge to capture ninety-one victories. The squad recently swept Chicago by a combined score of twelve to one in the National League Wild Card Series, highlighted by four total home runs and strong pitching that limited their opponents to eight hits.

Manny Machado and Fernando Tatis Jr. expressed immense confidence following the sweep, while Gavin Sheets contributed a notable pinch-hit home run despite dealing with a foot injury.

The squad now advances to face Milwaukee in the next round of the postseason.
