Oregon Ducks Legend Gets Another NFL Start After Commanders QB News

Former Oregon standout Marcus Mariota is preparing for another consecutive start under center for the Washington football franchise. Adam Schefter reported on Friday morning that Jayden Daniels will miss the upcoming matchup in London against the Indianapolis Colts due to a left elbow injury sustained earlier against the Dallas Cowboys.

Washington decided to grant their primary signal-caller additional recovery time after evaluating his participation in limited practice sessions this week.

Mariota stepped into the lineup previously and guided his squad to a narrow 33-31 triumph over the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, who entered that contest undefeated. During that Week 3 victory, the veteran quarterback completed 19 of 31 passing attempts for 183 yards, accumulated three passing touchdowns without any interceptions, and added a crucial late 9-yard rush to seal the outcome.

The upcoming international fixture against Indianapolis is scheduled to take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
