Observations after Sixers win preseason opener, Brown scores 22 in 1st half

The Philadelphia 76ers opened their preseason schedule with a 120-97 victory over the New York Knicks. Jaylen Brown led the effort with 22 points during the first half before resting for the remainder of the contest.

Jabari Walker contributed a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Dean Wade added support in the frontcourt. Ariel Hukporti exited the game early in the first quarter due to a non-contact injury to his lower leg.

The team managed the rotation without several key players, including LeBron James, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey, as coach Nick Nurse looks to integrate his roster throughout the upcoming exhibition games.
