NLCS notes: Blake Snell, Shohei Ohtani’s status for Game 3

The Los Angeles Dodgers face a critical Game 3 in their National League Championship Series after falling into a 2-0 deficit, with their rotation under pressure. Starting pitchers Tarik Skubal and Yoshinobu Yamamoto combined for just 7 2/3 innings and five earned runs across the first two games, leaving the team to rely on Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow to turn the series around.

Snell, who struggled in his last outing by allowing five runs over 3 2/3 innings, has shifted his focus to the present moment, dismissing comparisons to past postseason success. Meanwhile, Shohei Ohtani’s slump continues, with a dismal .150/.261/.150 slash line over six games raising questions about his role in the lineup moving forward.
