Nick Sirianni knew early Eagles had something in Dontayvion Wicks

Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni admitted he recognized the potential in newly acquired pass-catcher Dontayvion Wicks prior to his arrival from Green Bay, driven by extensive pre-trade evaluations and glowing internal feedback. Through his first two appearances in a midnight green jersey, Wicks has rewarded that faith by hauling in two passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in the opener followed by five catches for 74 yards in the second contest, matching receiving milestones not seen from a first-year Eagle since 2008.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts attributes his new target's smooth transition to prior familiarity with a comparable offensive system and dedicated preparation time, which has already fostered high-level confidence and allowed Wicks to serve as a helpful guide for rookie teammate Makai Lemon.
