The Los Angeles Rams face a major setback following their 27-7 season-opening defeat to the San Francisco 49ers in Australia, as marquee offseason acquisition Myles Garrett is heading to injured reserve. Garrett, who failed to tally a single quarterback hit or pressure in the opener, requires knee surgery that will sideline him during an upcoming slate featuring matchups against Denver and Buffalo.

Rams head coach Sean McVay acknowledged that the timeline for the star defensive lineman's return remains unclear.
