The Los Angeles Rams face a major setback following their 27-7 season-opening defeat to the San Francisco 49ers in Australia, as marquee offseason acquisition Myles Garrett is heading to injured reserve. Garrett, who failed to tally a single quarterback hit or pressure in the opener, requires knee surgery that will sideline him during an upcoming slate featuring matchups against Denver and Buffalo.
Rams head coach Sean McVay acknowledged that the timeline for the star defensive lineman's return remains unclear.
Injuries are also piling up across the league coming out of Week 1, with Los Angeles Chargers wideout Ladd McConkey being evaluated on a day-to-day basis. Meanwhile, other key contributors including Kyler Murray, Zay Flowers, and Brock Bowers sustained injuries that require further monitoring ahead of Week 2.
