NBA Cup 2026: Schedule, groups, format and what to know for this year's in-season tournament

The 2026 Emirates NBA Cup kicks off this Friday, marking the return of the league's annual in-season tournament. All 30 franchises have been organized into five-team groups based on their previous regular-season performance, with each club scheduled to play four group-stage contests.

The tournament structure remains consistent with prior years, featuring a mix of home and road games before advancing to the knockout rounds. Quarterfinal matchups are slated for early December, followed by the semifinals and the championship game on December 11.

Fans will also see the return of the unique tournament-specific court designs throughout the event.
