Nathan Ellis ruled out of third Australia vs South Africa ODI; Joel Davies also sent home

Australia has suffered a double injury setback ahead of the final match of their series against South Africa, with paceman Nathan Ellis and spinner Joel Davies both returning home. Ellis sustained a left side strain during the second fixture in Johannesburg while bowling, forcing him to exit early before rehabilitation back home.

Meanwhile, Davies picked up a hamstring issue while acting as a substitute fielder without having appeared in any games during the tour.
