Baseball witnessed an emotional farewell this weekend as Justin Verlander pitched the final outing of his career, greeted on the mound by his daughter before stepping away. Meanwhile, fellow veteran Max Scherzer may also have completed his final major league appearance over the weekend.

Across the league, notable achievements and managerial changes marked the conclusion of the regular season, including Pete Alonso securing RBI titles in both major leagues and Christian Yelich being named the first team captain in franchise history for the Brewers.
