Shahbaz Nadeem, who retired from professional cricket in 2024 after representing India in two Tests and capturing 542 First-Class wickets, has embraced a new career as joint-secretary of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association following his election in May of last year. Operating from the JSCA International Stadium, the thirty-seven-year-old official believes that combining the practical expertise of former players with the proficiency of traditional administrators creates the optimal environment for managing the sport.
During a rain-interrupted Ranji Trophy Group-C fixture between Delhi and Jharkhand that was halted before a delivery could be bowled on the third afternoon, Nadeem also highlighted the immense potential of youngster Manav Suthar, praising the quality of his stock delivery and describing him as an ideal prospect for future investment.
