Miserable Man Utd ripped apart by Como

Manchester United, coached by Michael Carrick, suffered a 4-1 defeat to Como in their Champions League group match, extending their winless run to seven games. The visitors took the lead within two minutes and never looked back, becoming the first English side to concede in consecutive Champions League fixtures.

Argentina midfielder Nico Paz opened the scoring after a lapse by Harry Maguire and added a third, while Tasos Douvikas finished a chance created by Paz. Matthijs de Ligt, returning after 325 days, was outpaced, and Jacobo Ramon headed Como’s fourth.

United’s Bruno Fernandes remained uninvolved and Joshua Zirkzee’s late goal offered little consolation.
