Mets Morning News: A Friday night in October without baseball

David Stearns built the groundwork for the Brewers' current postseason success, while Steve Cohen could play a major role if the club pursues Tarik Skubal during the winter. Analysts have weighed in on Ronny Mauricio's future with the Mets, and Dave Dombrowski publicly urged Trea Turner to either improve defensively at shortstop or switch positions.

Meanwhile, game four of the American League Championship Series was postponed due to poor weather conditions. That matchup will resume at eight in the evening, with subsequent games adjusted accordingly.

Milwaukee has already secured a spot in the championship series, prompting discussions about their potential challengers following the Dodgers' playoff elimination. Elsewhere, Martín Maldonado has accepted a position on the Detroit coaching staff, and David Rubinstein noted the significant financial gains currently experienced by league owners.
