During an exhibition matchup on Sunday, October 4, Los Angeles forward Max Strus was forced to leave the floor prematurely after sustaining a non-contact issue in his right foot. The incident occurred during the opening period at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, while facing Golden State when Strus attempted a cut to gather a feed from teammate Darius Garland.
Having logged just five minutes on the court with a single rebound and zero points from one missed attempt, the newcomer headed down the tunnel toward the locker area. Team personnel plan to conduct additional medical evaluations upon the squad's arrival back in Los Angeles.
Strus previously encountered foot trouble during the prior offseason with Cleveland, where a Jones fracture sidelined him.
