To boost student attendance for the full duration of their upcoming home game against Illinois, the University of Maryland is launching a tuition giveaway. One lucky student who remains at the stadium through the fourth quarter will be awarded up to $8,000 to cover their spring semester costs.
The promotion, which was planned months in advance, aims to encourage consistent fan support during a challenging season that has seen the team struggle to a 2-5 record and the departure of head coach Mike Locksley. Five finalists will be chosen during the final period of the game to determine the winner.
