Manchester United’s winless run in all competitions stretched to seven games after a 1-1 draw at Leeds United on Saturday, a result that offered little relief amid mounting pressure on manager Michael Carrick. The Red Devils, who had lost to Atlético Madrid in the Champions League and faced internal turmoil following Lisandro Martínez’s fiery interview, showed more structure than in recent outings but ultimately fell short against a resilient Leeds side.
United’s attack operated without a traditional striker for much of the match, with Youri Tielemans and Bryan Mbeumo forming a dynamic partnership that yielded the opener in the first half. Leeds equalized late, however, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin capitalized on a defensive error to level the score from a corner, underscoring United’s struggles with defensive solidity and midfield control.
Despite a more committed display than their recent draw with Tottenham, the result did nothing to ease concerns over Carrick’s future, with United still winless in the Premier League since August.
