LSU football defense gets revenge vs. Marcel Reed and A&m in Week 4

LSU secured its inaugural SEC win of the 2026 campaign by defeating Texas A&M 35-6 inside Tiger Stadium, successfully avenging a heavy defeat from the previous year. Head coach Lane Kiffin highlighted the offseason preparation led by defensive coordinator Blake Baker, whose unit completely neutralized dual-threat quarterback Marcel Reed.

Last season, Reed had thoroughly punished the Tigers through the air and on the ground, ultimately precipitating the firing of Brian Kelly. On Saturday, however, Baker's defense successfully restricted Reed to 106 yards passing and minus thirteen yards rushing, demonstrating a stark tactical turnaround.
