Lions scouting report: Cardinals playing better than their record

Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Drew Petzing faces his former employer, the Arizona Cardinals, in a Week 5 contest that could feature significant offensive production. Despite a three-game losing streak following a season-opening win, the Cardinals have shown marked improvement that suggests their current standing may be misleading.

Last season, Arizona struggled to a 3-14 finish, hampered by injuries to Kyler Murray and James Conner that forced Jacoby Brissett into a heavy workload behind a porous offensive line. While Trey McBride set a tight end record with 126 receptions, the team relied on defensive efforts from Josh Sweat and Calais Campbell to remain competitive.
