2026 NFL QB Power Rankings: Brock Purdy holds off Patrick Mahomes for No. 1 entering Week 5

Brock Purdy maintains his position at the top of the quarterback power rankings as he leads the San Francisco 49ers to an undefeated 4-0 start. Following a 24-14 victory over the Denver Broncos, Purdy holds the best passer rating, passing success rate, and EPA per dropback in the league, while also tying for the lead in passing touchdowns.

His current EPA per dropback is the second-highest recorded through four games since 2000, trailing only Tom Brady's 2007 performance.

Patrick Mahomes remains in the second spot, also guiding the Kansas City Chiefs to a 4-0 record. Mahomes currently leads the NFL in completions and passing touchdowns made while throwing outside the pocket. He continues to rank among the top ten quarterbacks across most major statistical categories.
