Lions report card, grades: Secondary takes huge strides vs. Cardinals

The Detroit Lions delivered their most dominant offensive performance of the season in a commanding win over the Arizona Cardinals, with standout contributions across the board. Jared Goff played near-flawlessly, completing 27 of 30 passes for 271 yards and a season-high 9.0 yards per attempt, adding a rushing touchdown to his three passing scores.

His 13 total touchdowns this year underscore his consistency, while his zero turnovers further solidify his elite status. Jahmyr Gibbs was unstoppable on the ground, forcing 10 missed tackles and gaining 93 yards after contact—second-best in Week 5—while also excelling in pass protection alongside Sione Vaki.

The offensive line’s blocking set the tone, allowing Gibbs to thrive and enabling long drives that kept the Lions’ momentum intact.
