Liberty’s Breanna Stewart scores 34 in dominant Game 1 win to put Lynx on brink of elimination

Led by Breanna Stewart's stellar 34-point, 12-rebound performance, the New York Liberty defeated the Minnesota Lynx 91-75 in the opening matchup of their series. Stewart shot efficiently from both the field and the charity stripe while adding six assists, two steals, and two blocks to secure a crucial away victory.

Looking to avoid a repeat of last season's postseason stumble against Phoenix, the top-seeded Lynx now face elimination as the action moves to New York. Nia Brodie provided a notable spark for Minnesota with a historic shooting half, but New York ultimately pulled away down the stretch behind key contributions from Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones.
