Jacksonville head coach Liam Coen emphasized that his team’s preparation for Sunday’s game in London centers on their own performance, not on the Philadelphia Eagles’ roster changes. Coen told the Florida Times-Union, “If that even creeps in our minds, we’re worrying about the wrong things because it is about us… Nick does a great job — they know how to handle adversity,” and added, “I know they’ll be ready to play, that’s for sure.” The matchup will take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Eagles have experienced notable personnel moves this week. Right tackle Lane Johnson announced his retirement on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
The following day, the team traded center Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens, sending Jurgens and a 2027 seventh‑round pick in exchange for a 2027 fifth‑round pick and a 2028 second‑round pick. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman explained to The Athletic, “We weren’t looking to move Cam,” and later said, “Over the last 24 hours, it got to the point where we felt like it could be a win‑win for them.”
In addition to the roster turnover, Philadelphia is dealing with injuries. Running back Saquon Barkley, center Drew Kendall and wide receiver DeVonta Smith have missed practice because of injuries, and wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks was placed on the injury report with a hamstring issue.
Despite these absences, Coen stated that the Eagles’ recent roster changes are not part of his team’s game plan for Sunday’s contest in London.
The upcoming London game will pit Coen’s squad against a Philadelphia team navigating retirement, a trade and multiple injuries. Both clubs will travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the scheduled Sunday matchup.
