The Dallas Cowboys' hopes of deploying linebacker DeMarvion Overshown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night appear to be diminishing. Overshown, sidelined for the past three games due to a hamstring injury, was marked as a non-participant in Monday’s practice session.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer indicated on Tuesday that Overshown’s return is unlikely, labeling him a 'long shot' for the upcoming matchup. In his absence, rookie Jaishawn Barham has stepped into the starting role, delivering strong defensive contributions with 21 tackles and a forced fumble over the last three weeks.
Meanwhile, cornerback Cobie Durant and offensive tackle Drew Shelton also remain out of practice, both dealing with hamstring issues of their own.
