Kyle Whittingham: 'Feel like we're 0-4' after Michigan's emotional start

Kyle Whittingham admitted he feels like his team sits at zero wins and four losses despite an actual 3-1 record to begin his tenure in Ann Arbor. Three of Michigan's initial four contests were decided by a single possession, highlighted by an opening-week Hail Mary victory and a narrow Week 4 defeat where the Wolverines surrendered two fourth-quarter touchdowns.

During the latest loss, coordinator Jason Beck deployed a conservative running sequence rather than utilizing quarterback Bryce Underwood to drain the clock, while defensive miscues included dropped interceptions, a personal foul by Zeke Berry, and an unsuccessful press-man coverage scheme on the game-winning touchdown pass from Hank Brown to Reece Vander Zee.
