Kentucky Football perfectly trolls LSU over Kenny Minchey fake quote after overtime upset

Kentucky football delivered a masterclass in sportsmanship and social media savvy after defeating the No. 10-ranked LSU Tigers 35–34 in overtime at Kroger Field.

The Wildcats’ social media team capitalized on the victory by mocking a viral fake quote attributed to Kentucky quarterback Kenny Minchey, which had previously circulated as an alleged LSU facility display. The fabricated quote—‘LSU’s defense hasn’t seen anyone like us and our offensive line yet’—gained traction earlier in the week but was never confirmed.

Kentucky’s post-game graphic replaced the real score with the fake quote, turning the moment into a playful jab at LSU’s defense, which ranks second nationally in total defense metrics. The Wildcats’ triumph on the field and the clever online response ensured Kentucky had the last laugh in a closely watched SEC matchup.
