Justin Verlander leaves field in tears with daughter after final start of 21-year career

Veteran pitcher Justin Verlander brought his twenty-one year professional career to a close on Saturday during a matchup against the Pittsburgh Pirates. During the sixth inning, Detroit Tigers manager AJ Hinch brought out the athlete's seven-year-old daughter, Genevieve, for a surprise mound visit following a foul popup by Brandon Lowe, leaving the three-time Cy Young recipient in tears as he finished his storied run with 3,560 total strikeouts.
