Just how embarrassing was Dallas' loss to the Bucs? What went wrong and where Cowboys go from here

The Dallas Cowboys fell to 2-3 after a surprising 24-16 home loss to the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite entering the contest as heavy favorites, the Cowboys struggled against a backup quarterback and were met with vocal frustration from their home crowd.

Dak Prescott acknowledged the disappointment of dropping a game they were expected to win, while team leadership expressed frustration with the defensive performance. The defeat marks a difficult stretch for the squad, which has now allowed over 375 yards in five consecutive games without recording an interception.

Defensive coordinator Christian Parker faces scrutiny following these defensive lapses, though team management stopped short of a full critique of his work. The Cowboys now face a lengthy break before their next outing against the Green Bay Packers.
