Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick is maintaining patience with Bronny James following a difficult start to the preseason. Through four appearances, James has struggled with his efficiency, shooting 4-of-15 from the field and recording 13 assists against 12 turnovers.
Redick attributed these challenges to inconsistent rhythm and the fluctuating lineups James has been placed in during the second halves of games. During a recent loss to the Golden State Warriors, James went scoreless while committing four turnovers.
Redick noted that other bench players like Jaden Hardy and Chris Mañon also faced difficulties, but he emphasized that the coaching staff remains focused on simplifying roles for these reserves to ensure they are prepared for the regular season.
