Trailing by two goals early on, Buffalo battled back in their home-opener to secure a 4-3 victory over Chicago on Saturday night. Jiri Kulich netted the decisive tiebreaking shot with less than seven minutes remaining in regulation, marking his first goal since returning from a long absence caused by blood clots.
Rasmus Dahlin brought the hosts even early in the final period, while Jack Quinn and Tage Thompson also contributed goals, and goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen turned away 12 shots. Oliver Moore, Ryan Donato, and Tyler Bertuzzi provided the scoring for the visiting side, which fell to a three-game losing skid despite 24 saves from Spencer Knight.
