Jimmy Adams has ended a quarter-century association with Hampshire to accept a permanent position overseeing batting development in Australia. The forty-six-year-old will manage programs for both Cricket Tasmania and the Hobart Hurricanes, building on prior experience as an assistant during two previous Big Bash campaigns.
Hampshire confirmed his departure following an October announcement, concluding a long tenure that included captaincy and a stint as interim head coach for the One-Day Cup final last year. The transition follows a difficult domestic season for Hampshire, which suffered relegation from Division One after securing the bottom spot in the County Championship.
