Jahmyr Gibbs’ next touchdown ties Barry Sanders’ record for most before age 25

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is on the verge of surpassing a legendary milestone. With a touchdown in every game this season, Gibbs has already amassed 56 career touchdowns before his 25th birthday.

That places him just one score away from tying the NFL record set by Hall of Famer Barry Sanders, who scored 57 touchdowns before turning 25. Gibbs, who remains two touchdowns shy of breaking the record, is also tied with Todd Gurley for the second-most touchdowns by any player under 25.

Since Gibbs won’t reach that age until March, he is poised to extend his streak and potentially eclipse Sanders’ historic mark.
