Srinagar is set to host the Irani Cup for the very first time as the reigning Ranji Trophy holders Jammu and Kashmir prepare to face the Rest of India in a five-day fixture starting on October 1. Paras Dogra will take charge of the local side, while Rishabh Pant has been named to lead the touring selection for the season-opening contest at the Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium.
Both squads feature a mix of established domestic talent and emerging players aiming to make an immediate impact during the early-season championship encounter.
