Inter and AC Milan have officially revealed blueprints for a replacement to their historic home ground. The upcoming 71,500-capacity Generali Stadium, backed by a 20-year naming rights agreement worth 650 million euros, is scheduled to open for the 2031-2032 campaign.
Construction is slated to commence in 2028, with the current facility remaining in operation until the new site is fully functional to host matches for the 2032 UEFA European Championship.
The project features a collaborative design by Foster + Partners and MANICA, incorporating a distinctive X-frame aesthetic and a curved roof. This development represents a significant capital commitment from RedBird to modernize the clubs' infrastructure while preserving the legacy of the original arena, which has stood since 1926.
