Infantino proposes external review of Fifa governance

Fifa leader Gianni Infantino has submitted two proposed measures to the organization's council following widespread pushback regarding his controversial commercial venture known as the Fifa Forward Enterprise. The leader of world football suggested commissioning an independent review of major strategic governance and opening a structured period of consultation with various stakeholders.

Debbie Hewitt, who serves as a vice-president for the governing body, previously urged the Swiss-Italian official to disclose all documentation associated with the contested strategy. Meanwhile, Uefa and Concacaf leadership have demanded financial payouts for all member associations from reserves, and Uefa initiated legal proceedings in the United States while accusing the current administration of a smear campaign.
