India tour of New Zealand: Why ODI squad announcement was delayed

The Indian cricket board is delaying the announcement of the ODI squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand until next week. Selectors are currently monitoring performances in the India A versus Australia A series to identify potential candidates for the final two matches of the New Zealand tour.

In the most recent encounter, Australia A secured a 125-run victory after Mahli Beardman claimed four wickets for 23 runs. Rajat Patidar provided the only significant resistance for India A with a score of 53 as the team was dismissed for 149.

Additionally, the T20I squad for the New Zealand trip has been confirmed, featuring the return of Bhuvneshwar Kumar under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer.
