India complete 20-1 rout: Deepika scores record 9, but women's team misses 44-year Asian Games record

India continued their dominant run in Pool B with a massive 22-0 victory against Thailand at the Asian Games women's hockey tournament. Forward Deepika Sehrawat spearheaded the onslaught by finding the back of the net nine times, surpassing her previous tournament single-match record of eight goals.

While the squad maintained their undefeated streak and cemented their position at the top of the group standings, they narrowly missed breaking the historical 44-year-old scoring record set back in 1982.
