The Arizona Cardinals visit SoFi Stadium to challenge the Los Angeles Chargers in a Week 1 clash on September 13, 2026. This matchup marks the start of Mike LaFleur's tenure as Arizona's head coach following the team's 3-14 campaign, with former third overall selection Jeremiyah Love slated to make his regular-season debut amid offensive line health concerns.
Arizona has managed only one road victory against the franchise in team history, dating back to 2001, and enters as unanimous underdogs among analysts.
Conversely, head coach Jim Harbaugh seeks to preserve an unblemished career record in NFL regular-season openers while guiding a Chargers squad led by quarterback Justin Herbert. Los Angeles arrives with substantial postseason ambitions after compiling consecutive 11-win campaigns and securing a playoff berth in 2025.
