After initially facing skepticism from his mother regarding his height and athleticism, Graves experienced a major growth spurt from six feet to six-foot-seven, leading him to basketball.
During his NBA Summer League debut, the former Santa Clara standout recorded a team-high twenty-two points alongside thirteen rebounds, three steals, two blocks, and three three-pointers. He ultimately averaged nearly seventeen points and seven assists throughout the summer showcase while shooting fifty percent from beyond the arc.
