Here's what to expect in the playoffs from one of baseball's most unique players

Rays outfielder Chandler Simpson put together a remarkably old-school 2026 regular season, leading the American League with 46 stolen bases and finishing second in batting with a .306 average despite failing to hit a single home run. His rarity at the plate matches feats last achieved by players like Luis Castillo in 1999 and Rod Carew in 1972.

Tampa Bay secured 98 wins to lead the AL and will open the ALDS against the Yankees on Saturday.
