Heat check: Mike Locksley is out of excuses. Why does he still have a job?

Maryland football coach Mike Locksley faces mounting pressure following a collapse against Rutgers, where the Terps surrendered a 23-13 halftime lead to lose 24-7 in the second half. In response to the defeat, Locksley dismissed defensive coordinator Ted Monachino.

Meanwhile, Colorado coach Deion Sanders continues to struggle as his team maintains a poor record against Power Four opponents, highlighted by a recent loss to Utah that featured 10 penalties and two turnovers. Florida State coach Mike Norvell also remains under scrutiny, as his team has fallen to a 5-21 record against Power Four competition over their last 26 games.
