Harmison signs first professional Durham deal

Fast bowler Charlie Harmison has committed to Durham on a two-year rookie contract, following in the footsteps of his father Steve. The eighteen-year-old joins a growing group of offspring from the 2005 Ashes-winning squad to secure professional county terms, alongside Archie Vaughan, Rocky Flintoff, and Corey Flintoff.

Alongside Harmison, teenagers Robbie Bowman and Luke Symington also secured their initial rookie agreements with the club following their promotion back to the top flight.
